Painting

Hi All,

Today I got to do some painting!

I did stamp painting and finger painting.

I then thought it would be a good idea to paint my nose.

I then made some faces so mum could take my photo.

Grounded in reality

Hi All,

You'll be pleased to know that my little feet are firmly grounded in reality, or maybe not.

I like to tell stories to my mum.

Today in the car I told her that a dragon threw a pineapple at my knee and the pineapple got stuck in my knee. Now, strictly speaking this isn't true. I've never seen a dragon, nor ever had a pineapple thrown at me or stuck in my knee. But it sounded like it could be true, don't you think?

Also I told her that a motorbike crashed into my head. Again, this didn't ACTUALLY happen.

I once told my mum that Uncle Tim hit me in the head with a cricket bat... really hard. Again, I may have been exercising my imagination because Uncle Tim has never been anythine but nice to me.

But it's fun making stuff up!

Dinosaur Egg part 2

Hi All,

Today I received this email from my daddy:

Dear Roman,

Please update your blog. I want to know how your dinosaur is doing!

Love daddy.

So because I love my daddy and am trying to overcome my laziness I now bring you an update on the growth of my dinosaur.

Dinosaur Egg

Hi All,

On the weekend I visited my Aunty Tanya and Uncle Cliff. I got a very special birthday present.

A DINOSAUR EGG!!!!



See how in one of the pictures I've got a bucket? That's because I've got to put the egg into a bucket of water to help it hatch.

SUNDAY:


I've been checking it a couple of times an hour to see if it's hatched.

MONDAY:


See how there's a little hole in the egg?? That's the dinosaur hatching (although, just between you and me I might have poked it a bit...)




Hopefully by tomorrow I might see my dinosaur. I'll have to think of what to name him.

Hi All,

I've just got back from holidays in Adelaide.

I had a great time but I want to tell you a joke.

First of all, I need to tell you that my dad made the yummiest Seafood Chowder for dinner tonight. I was eating it and then I said (this is the joke):

"Murray is a Wiggle.
Calamari is a food"

Get it???

Cala"murray"

My mum thought it was hilarious.

My 3rd Birthday

Hi All,

Today is my birthday!

It's been a long time coming. I think my parents may have started the birthday anticipation a little too early. I think next year I would prefer a week's notice rather than 6 weeks!


BUT this morning when I woke up, got out of bed and opened my door, there were balloons everywhere AND decorations AND my mum and dad singing Happy Birthday to me.

Then Mum made special pancakes for breakfast. I opened some presents and then mum and dad told me they were taking me somewhere as a surprise.

We drove for a long time and then we got to ScienceWorks! I love ScienceWorks!

I've been getting presents all day long. I got a red backpack, some sticker books, A Leapfrog Tag reading system, some threading beads and other things too!

I've had a really good day and tomorrow I get to go on an airplane!

I know I've used a lot of exclamation points in this post but it's my birthday so that's OK!
