Hi All,

The other day mum went to a place called Reverse Art Truck. It's a place that collects bits and pieces of things that companies don't want: cones, containers, foam, paper, cork, stickers, streamers, cardboard, dowel, sticks. Then the public can fill a garbage bag with whatever they like. Mum got this stuff for $15.




So today mum and I made some things. We made a bus and some people.





I'm pretty sure if Play School sees this they will want me to make stuff for them.

Funny things

Hi All,

Today I got to play on my trampoline. Just before I climbed up the stairs to get in, I pulled down my pants. I stopped, looked at my pants and said, "That's not right!" and then pulled them back up again. I think I was confused!

After I got off the trampoline I went and got a drink of water. I told mum,"I better have a drink because my legs are very tired."

Do you do and say silly things too?

Garden

Hi All,

If you've been to our house you know that we have a somewhat, how shall I say, rustic garden... (that means that we don't do much gardening in our house...)

BUT yesterday my Aunty Tanya and Uncle Cliff came around and helped us make a beautiful garden. To be honest I did most of the work. Sure Aunty Tanya picked most of the plants, and mum and dad paid for them, and Aunty Tanya decided where all the plants would go, and Uncle Cliff and Dad dug all the holes and the adults planted them all. But I did everything else.

Things I probably shouldn't say

Hi All,

This morning mum was trying to get me ready in a hurry.

Mum said, "Quick, Roman. Let's get your shoes and socks on so we can go"
I said, "Mum, you're annoying me."

Thankfully she just laughed. I don't think she'll think it's so funny next time though.

Words

Hi All,

I would like to tell you about words. You must obviously know that I am very good at writing words as I've been writing this blog for a long time but I'm starting to learn how to READ words.

I've known some words for a while like:

Roman
Mummy
Daddy
lips
dog
window

But lately mum has been trying to teach me some new words and I'm learning them really well!

So far this week I've learnt:
run
can
jump
yellow
blue
I
is
play
exercise

We play games with my teddy. Mum will put about 10 word cards on the floor all mixed up. Then my Teddy says: "Roman, I can't find the word yellow - can you find it for me?" And then I find the word for him. I can help teddy find all those words.

Or we put about 7 word cards out and we say all the words. Then I close my eyes and mum takes one word card away. Then I have to work out which word she took.

Mum's going to teach me more words this week and then I'll help teddy learn them as well.

Wedding

Hi All,

Today I got to go to the wedding of my special friends - Steve and Phoebe!!

I don't know if you remember but when I went to my Aunty Leanne and Uncle Tim's wedding I REFUSED to wear the lovely suit mum and dad bought for me. Well today I couldn't wait to get into it (mainly because I really wanted to look like daddy).

I really liked the wedding. I also really liked everyone telling me how handsome I am.

3 days in a row

Hi All,

Just for fun I thought I would blog three days in a row.

I'm going to tell you about one of my favourite parts of the week.

On Sunday nights I get to sit on Mum and Dad's bed and watch playschool on their TV. I take my teddy and dog and we do the actions and sing the songs (loudly) and have lots of fun. Sometimes I have too much fun - I jump a lot and sometimes I bang my head but it's still worth it.

Washing Up

Hi All,

I think my days of getting a free ride are over...

Today mum asked me to... DO THE DISHES!!!!



Unbelievable!

(Don't tell mum but it was actually kind of fun! Lots of water and bubbles - I don't know what she's compaining about when she does them).



Let's wait to see what they try and get me to do tomorrow - mow the lawn??

Things I say

Hi All,

Sometimes I say funny things.

Mum gave me soup for dinner last night (from a can). I ate it and said, "Mum this is AMAZING, like a thousand dollars!"

After mum's group today I asked mum whether she could take me to the red park. She drove me to a park and she said, "Is this the right park?" and I said "That is absolutely correct."

Mum and Aunty Leanne took me 10 pen bowling this week which I LOVE. At home I have some pins for ten pin bowling and when mum was putting me to bed I saw just 1 of them sitting on my book shelf. I pointed to it and said to mum, "Hey look, one pin bowling!"

Mum and I went to a bookshop the other day. We were wandering around for a little while before we started to head to the cash register. That's when mum noticed I had picked up a book. She asked if she could have a look at it. I showed her. She noticed the book was called, "What happens to me when mum and dad split up?". She laughed and said that we were going to put that book back on the shelf. I said to her "But I need it for tonight when we get home!" Mum said that actually I didn't need it and that we really did have to put it back on the shelf. Turns out I didn't need it.
