My latest hobby

Hi All,

You might remember reading that I've gotten very good at pulling myself up on things. I can climb on lots of different things. Boxes, coffee tables, chairs, dad's weight bench, foot stool etc. I found though that I needed something to do while I'm there (because sometimes I get stuck - I can't always work out how to get down again). Anyway I've found a very fun thing to do and for some reason it makes mum and dad laugh a lot. Standing Up

Hi All,

I've found out something new that I can do - pull myself up!

Here are a couple of pics:

I've also found that although I know how to get up, I do not know how to get down.

I also do this in the bath which freaks mum out because it's very slippery in the bath and she says its going to end in tears.

Who am I?

Hi All,

Take a look at the following photo and tell me who I'm pretending to be?:

My dad!! I tried to put facial hair on just like my dad: round the lips and a little bit on the chin (I know I got some on my nose but that was just a mistake). I know that mine is with bolognese sauce instead of hair but I really do think the likeness is uncanny.

Anyway it turns out I like bolgnese sauce - the first time I had it I didn't like it but second times a charm.

I'm enjoying my food quite a bit but sometimes I forget how the spoon thing works. Here are some of my latest attempts:

Toast

Hi All,

Every morning I have Weetbix with fruit and then mum gives me some toast. Usually she gives me one crust of toast. But this morning she got clever and gave me two. This meant that I could have one in my mouth and the other in my hand ready to go if the other one got too soggy. Efficiency. I like it.

We have a pet!

Hi All,

Did you know we have a pet???

He's so cool. He runs round everywhere and he has a really long tail. He makes funny noises. Mum doesn't like me playing with him because I bite his tail. Mum's a bit mean because she likes playing with him a lot and she won't let me join in. She keeps making him run away from me. I've tried chasing after him but he's really fast. Don't let the RSPCA know but mum keeps him locked in the closet and only lets him come out to play once a week.

I've found where my nappies go

Hi All,

There has been a mystery that I've been trying to solve.

I'm not sure if you're aware but I sometimes (OK, always) go to the toilet in my pants. I just can't hold on that long. Anyway, I've always wondered what happens to my nappies because mum takes off the dirty one and there always seems to be a fresh, clean one to put on my bum.

So the other day, when mum went into another room to do something I made my move. I charged down the living room, past the kitchen table, past the kitchen, and did a quick left into the laundry. By this time I was pretty tired but I felt that I was pretty close to solving this mystery so I soldiered on. Well, in the laundry is this big white box. And I found my nappies in it, going round and round in circles. Fascinating.


Mum found me then so I don't know how they get from the box back into my room dry. Maybe I'll solve that mystery some other day. Maybe it's got something to do with the spider web on the pole in our backyard.

Time for changes

As you can see from the below photo it may be time for mum and dad to start putting the side of cot up...

It's also possible that they may need to put plastic guards on the rails because they taste pretty good and I think I'm going to be leaving some teeth marks in them...

Warrnambool

Hi All,

We went to Warrnambool for the weekend for my dad's cousin's wedding. Warrnambool is a very funny word. Aunty Tanya and Uncle Cliff came too. Everyone forgot to take cameras to the wedding so I can't show you any pictures. But it was very pretty.

We went to the beach this morning. It was very windy and cold. My dad tried to keep me warm.

He did a pretty good job.

Snug as a bug in a rug

Hi All,

Whenever my dad has finished giving me a bath he wraps me up in my towel so I'm all cute. Then he shows me to mummy so she goes "oooohhhh."

I'm very happy. What's not to be happy about?? I get yummy food, can go where ever I want
to go and get to poop in my pants. Life's good.

Food showers

Hi All,

Lately I blow raspberries while I eat my food. It makes quite a mess!!! Mum and dad end up with bits of food all over them.



Dad has taken to putting the spoon over my mouth after putting the food into my mouth so I can't shower him with food.




I had my 6 month jabs today. They didn't even hurt that much! I was very brave.

My new favourite food

Hi All,

My new favourite food is Lamb, sweet potato and spinach casserole. YUMMMM!!!

Mum made me some new food - chicken, leek and rice casserole and a fish, sweet potato and broccoli casserole but the lamb is definitely my favourite!

SIck parents

Hi All,

How are you all? I've been such a good boy lately. I've been all smiley and happy which is just as well because mum and dad have both been sick. They have both had colds so have been a bit miserable.

Today we went for a visit to the Royal Botanical gardens. It was fun. Then we went out for lunch. After I had my lunch I sat in my pram while mum had her lunch. I can't remember why, but I was laughing and smiling while I was sitting in my pram. Something was VERY funny.

When I have my bath mum or dad put me on my tummy in the bath and I get to crawl around the bath. It's fun because it is really slippery so I slip and slide everywhere and I also drink half the bath water.

I'm very big now.

Swimming

Hi All,

Today mum took me to the pool. We had a great time swimming. She's trying to make sure that I get used to the water. She even dunked me a couple of times. She read that she should blow in my face before dunking me because I'll gasp and hold my breath. I don't know if it worked or not but I'm still breathing so it must have gone OK.

I banged my head on the coffee table (I pulled the stupid drawer out then I went and banged my head on it - stupid, stupid drawer).

I'm 6 months old!!!

Hi All,

Today is my 6 month old birthday.



I get into everything now!!! I can crawl anywhere I want to (today I crawled from the lounge room to mum and dad's bedroom -that's at least 1 kilometre). Sometimes mum finds me under the bed or behind the couch or under the computer desk. The photo above is me taking CD's from the rack. I take one out, taste it, then chuck it. Repeat until I find a tasty one.
