The city

Hi all,

One of my very favourite things to do is go on the train into the city to have lunch with my dad.

Mum and I went in to the city last week to meet dad. We had sushi.

Sushi is probably my other favourite thing so this was a very good day!

A hard lesson

Hi all,

Mum and I went for a bike ride this morning. Well, I rode my bike and mum jogged along with me. We saw goats and ducks and the weather was beautiful!

I accidentally rode my bike into the back of mum's legs and thought it was hilarious. Mum said it was funny but not to do it again because it might hurt.

Unfortunately I didn't listen to her advice and I did it again. This time however I hit her legs and fell straight off my bike and hit the path with my chin.

I hurt it a lot! I got a big scrape. I asked mum where my skin had gone and she told me it was on the path. My chin got all bloody and I told mum that I didn't want to lose my blood. She told me it was ok because my body would make some more.

That's what I get for not listening to my mum.

Beach fun

Hi all,

This morning, before I woke up, my dad went out for a bike ride. He rode SO far that he made it all the way to the beach. So mum and I drove to meet him and we had a swim at the beach. Very fun.

4 year old kinder

Hi all,

Today is my first day at 4 year old kinder! I think both mum and I are both really ready for it!

I have new teachers and some new friends to meet as well as some old friends from last year.

I'm very excited because when I got to kinder I noticed that there is Lego. Did you know that I love Lego?

Swimming

Hi All,

I thought I would show you my swimming.

I am trying so hard in my lessons! I try really hard when the teacher asks me to swim. I try really hard to do somersaults when she's not watching. I try really hard to stay underwater for as long as I can when I am supposed to be waiting patiently for my turn.

Hi all,

Today I went to the post office with my mum. I wore my superhero mask and I think I scared the post office man!

Later I chilled out at home with a donut. Superheroes deserve treats too.

Weekend away

We're on our way back from a weekend away! We've spent the weekend in Clunes which is near Daylesford and Ballarat.

We stayed at a cute little house and we had a wallaby that visited us each morning!

Veggies

Hi all,

Our family has been having a go at growing things in our garden (again). Things other than weeds.

And it turns out we've done a good job!

We've got pumpkins and zucchini and cucumber. We're very excited! We've got about 5 pumpkins growing and we can't wait to eat them up.

Hi all,

You might know that I got lots of Lego for Christmas. I love Lego! I love building it. I also love taking it apart.

I love making new creations and explaining in (a lot of) detail what my creation does.

This is my favourite way to spend my day. In my pyjamas ( or better still, naked) playing Lego.

Starting again

Hi all,

Yesterday I went back for my first swimming lesson of the year. I try really hard in my lesson but my teacher says that I need to make sure I have my listening ears on. I don't know which ears she thinks I had on.

Today I am going to have my kinder orientation. I think this means that I meet my teacher and find out where I put my bag.

This morning mum put out all the ingredients for muffins and then let me make them all by myself. They were delicious!

A Melbourne tradition

Today I did something very special. Mum told me that it's something every person from Melbourne should do. I had a Spanish donut from the queen victoria market. It was delicious!

Graduation

Hi all,

Yesterday I graduated! Yep, I graduated from 3 year old kinder. It's been a fun year with my friends and to be honest, if the rest of my school career is going to be like this, I think it's going to be pretty easy.

My teacher got pretty emotional saying goodbye to us all and she asked if she could have a cuddle goodbye from everyone as she gave us our gift. I got to go first (in front of all the kids and mums. She gave me my gift and asked for a hug. I took my book and said, "No!". Mum told me this wasn't my finest moment.

Maybe I'll do better next year!

Gingerbread house

Hi all,

Mum and I made our first ever gingerbread house this year!

I'd like to tell you that we baked all the gingerbread ourselves. But we didn't. We bought it in a box. That's right - a box. All we had to do was stick it together with the icing (also in the box!). Then we put lollies on it (yep - also in the box).

Not a bad first effort.

Mum didn't know the etiquette on when you should start eating your gingerbread house so we've been eating ours already. The roof is not looking so good anymore.

Hi All,

I want to show you a photo of something very special. A photo of me doing something I've never done before. It's very exciting...



Yep! I met Santa. Mum took me on a train ride into the city to dad's work and we met Santa. Very exciting.

Santa has me a bit confused though. I saw him at the stage in Eastland last week. But then we walked into Myer and there was another Santa there. 2 Santas in the same place. Strange. How many more of him are there??
