Birthdays, bunting and bolgnese

Hi all,

It was my dad's birthday on Wednesday. He is now old. 35 years old. Happy Birthday Dad.

We celebrated his birthday more so on Saturday. Mum and I made some bunting for dad. Dad doesn't believe that it's called bunting.

I also ate bolgnese. I haven't worked out how to eat bolognese without getting a red face.

Today

Hi All,

This morning I went and had a lady stick a needle in me. Mum says it's to stop me getting chicken pox. I hope chicken pox is REALLY bad because getting the needle stuck in me isn't exactly fun.
Apparently I don't have to get any more needles until I am 4 years old.

This afternoon mum and I went for a walk. The nice lady at the fruit shop gave me a couple of grapes. I love grapes. I say, "Gwapes, pees."

I have learnt how to say please in sign language. So I say "pees" and I sign it. This gives me double the chance of getting what I want. If I REALLY want something I'll sign with BOTH hands and say "pees".

Garden

Hi All,

Mum, dad and me are growing a vegetable garden.

Dad's job was to build the box and help mum carry the big bags of dirt.
Mum's job was to plant everything and water the plants.
My job is to help with the watering and rearrange the tags that say what is what.

We are growing lettuce, wombok, carrots, spring onions, beans, strawberries, brocolli, eggplant, beetroot, spinach and brussell sprouts. I think someone is eating our wombok because it's getting smaller and smaller everyday. And I'm not sure why we're growing brussell sprouts because no one eats them (dad told me they're very bad).

I like watering the garden. Mum says that watering makes the plants grow. I think my shoes should be getting bigger too because I tend to water them a fair bit too.

My Dad

Hi All,

This is a photo of my dad. His name is dad. I didn't name dad, that's just his name.

I did, however, name his pecs. In case you don't know pecs are also called boobies. But I think daddy prefers pecs to boobies because it sounds more manly. Anyway, the other day I decided that his should have names. So I called his left one "Paul" and the right one "Bunny." I think these are good names for pecs.

Holidays

Hi All,

My dad has been away an awful lot so my mum decided to kidnap him so he couldn't get away again. She kidnapped him (and me) to Warrnambool (although he did drive there so she must have kidnapped him then used her mighty powers of persuasion to get him to drive).

We had a lovely time. I introduced you yesterday to dog. We met him on the beach. He was very friendly. His person owner was surfing so he played with us for about 1 hour. He liked digging holes and then I laid down in them.

He did butt heads with me once which made me sad:

but I did forgive him after that even though he did not ask for forgiveness.

I played a game with dog where I would throw sand in the air and he would jump to get it. It was a very good game:

I would also like to tell you that I like counting. I think I've learnt it because before I do lots of different things (like going down the slide, or going in my high chair or playing games) mum says "one, two, three!". I like doing this too except I only say "two, free." I can never remember "one". Mum tries to get me to say it. Our conversation goes like this:

Mum: One, Two, Three
Me: Two, Free
Mum: One, Two, Three
Me: Two, Free
Mum: ONE, Two, Three
Me: Two, Free
Mum: Say One
Me: Two
Mum: Say ONE
Me: Two
Mum: Say Two
Me: Free

I think mum finds this funny but for some reason frustrating.

Box

Hi All,

I've worked out what the box is that dad made for me.

It's a sand pit!!

I love sand. I love playing in it. I love getting it all over my clothes and in my shoes. I love tipping it out of the sand pit. I love it so much that sometimes I try to eat it. I don't love it after that.

I have a lot to tell you because I've just been on holidays with my mum and dad but I'll tell you about it tomorrow.

But for now I'll introduce you to a friend I made on holidays. His name is dog.

snotty noses

Hi All,

Mum bought a new scarf the other day. She loves it very much. Sometimes I like to hold it up against my face because it's very soft.

I have a little cold. So I have a very snotty nose.

One time when I grabbed mum's lovely scarf I wiped my snotty nose on it.

Mum was not very happy.

Building

Hi All,

I've been busy helping my dad build something today.

To be honest, I'm not sure what we've built. It's square and it's sitting in the garden. That's it. I'm not sure what it's there for but I'm pretty sure dad couldn't have done it without me. We had to use a drill and a hammer and nails and glue (I was particularly good with the hammer).

I hope that I work out what it's for sometime soon and I'll be sure to let you know.

Dad

Hi All,

I got to see my dad on the weekend. He spent all day Saturday with me. We all went shopping in the morning (which I did not like) and swimming in the afternoon (which I liked an awful lot). I showed my dad how I can jump into the pool (it probably looks more like falling but it is intentional...).

He's away again which makes me sad but hopefully he'll be back soon (I get tired of just seeing my mum!).
