Holidays

Hi All,

Have you been asking yourself, "I wonder where Roman is and why he hasn't blogged lately?" If so, it's because I've been on holidays with my mum and dad. We went to Warrnambool. We like it there. It's got the beach and parks and food. It also has rain and wind and coldness. We didn't get to spend as much time at the beach as we would have liked because of the rain.

We did go to the beach a couple of times. The first time it was very cold and I was wearing lots of warm clothes. I ran to the water and I got too close to the water and a wave came and knocked me over. I was very upset... and cold... and wet... My mum thought it was very funny, she laughed and laughed. Dad told her off for laughing so much - he thought it was quite serious. Mum stripped off all my clothes and Dad gave me his jumper to wear. We left the beach so I could go home and get dry clothes.

Here are some photos from our holidays.

We had lots of fun and I sang Happy Birthday to you on the drive home. I can't remember why.

Bye for now,
Roman

Upset

Hi All,

Sometimes I get upset. When I get upset I cry and make funny faces. Sometimes I have snot come out of my nose. I usually want a cuddle, then I don't want a cuddle. It's all very messy and confusing.

This is me after I got upset about something (I can't remember what):

Oven

Hi Everyone,

My dad called my mum a bag lady. That's because she collects things that other people don't want anymore so she can make them wanted again. Do you remember my little white chair. She found that on the side of the road. She found a little cabinet the other day that she's painting at the moment. And when we were driving home from shopping last week she spotted this little oven / stove that someone had left out for hard waste collection:

It was full of straw and had bird poop on it. Yuck.

So today mum and I put it in the backyard and scrubbed and scrubbed until it was beautifully clean:

I really liked cleaning it, especially with the tooth brush. Mum says I kept cleaning for about 30 minutes longer than necessary but I was having fun!

That's all for now,
Roman

Stories

Hi All,

Do you know how sometimes people tell stories, and when they are finished you wished they had never told you the story? I'm going to tell you one of those stories.

The other day I was eating baked beans and ham. Not a great combination but mum mustn't have had much in the fridge. So I was eating my baked beans with my spoon when I wondered how far I could stick my spoon down my throat. It turns out I can stick it far enough down to make me puke baked beans and ham everywhere... My first puke and it was self inflicted.

Don't you wish I'd never told you that story? Just be glad there is no accompanying photo.

It's my Birthday!!

Hi All,

Today is my birthday. Today I turn 2 years old (or 3 depending on when you ask me).

Today mum and dad wanted to take me to the zoo or the science museum or something fun. But I just wanted to stay home and play with my presents. So that's what we did.

Mum and dad gave me a train set!!

It's lots of fun with lots of tracks and trains. Very fun.

I'll tell you about some of the other things I've got for my birthday:

a trike (my feet ALMOST touch the pedals!)
some musical instruments (I like playing with these a lot)
some playdough (who doesn't like playdough?!)
some pyjamas and a book (the book is very funny - i'll tell you about it some time)
some tracksuit pants and top (dad says that tracksuit pants are the best thing ever)
and something very cool that I haven't actually got yet - my Aunty and Uncle are going to build me a garden (I love outside - have I told you that before?)
and other stuff too!!

I'm very spoilt.

This is me and my dad:

What a day!!

Hi All,

What a day I've had today!!

Today I woke up and found a duck in our backyard!! I think the magpies must have told the duck that he could get some good bread in our backyard. But we'd run out so I think the duck went away hungry.

Then I had my family come and visit for my birthday. Except it's not my birthday, yet. My birthday is on Tuesday so I don't know if that means everyone is coming back on Tuesday once they realised the mistake they've made or whether that's it. We'll see.

Here are some photos from my party (I'll put some more photos up tomorrow and I'll tell you about my presents too!):
