Roman

Hi All,

I've told you before about some of the words that I can say, like Mummy and Daddy. Now I cay also say my name - "Whoman."

Today I spent some time outside helping daddy. I'm really good at hitting the nail on the head.

and helping with stuff in little bottles.

But I do get very upset when I have to go inside.

So sad. I love outside so much.

Bye for now,
Whoman

Trouble

Hi All,

Sometimes I get into trouble. Usually I am very well behaved but sometimes I do things I shouldn't - like throwing blocks at daddy's head or hitting mummy. When I do this, mummy or daddy get very close to me, look me in my eyes and in a very cross voice say something like "Roman, you do not throw blocks at daddy's head. It hurts and you shouldn't do it. Now please say sorry" I don't like getting told off so I have developed a system to avoid it. Rather than not do the thing I shouldn't do, I just close my eyes and roll my eyes to the back of my head when I'm getting told off. That way, I can't see that I'm being told off. Brilliant!

Here's a photo of me and my dad when I'm not being naughty (you can tell because my eyes are open).

Bye for now,

Play dough

Hi All,

I love play dough. It's one of my favourite things to do. I stand at my cupboard and point to the top shelf and say "paydo, paydo. paydo peas" until mum comes and gets it down for me.

I also like mixing the colours together which mum does not like me doing. Sometimes I sit on the play dough and it gets stuck on my jeans. Mum doesn't like this either...

That's all for now,

I'm back!!!

Hi All,

I know it's been a while since I've talked to you but mum and dad went away, and then they came back again. Since then I've had to keep a close eye on my mum so I haven't been able to sneak away to the computer.

Anyway...

Mum and dad have had me working hard since they've been back:

(Don't tell them but I actually LOVE raking and picking up leaves - it is so much fun. Except when the leaves stick to my hands - then I try and pick them off and say "yucky").

Mum asked whether I would mind posting a picture of her and dad from their holidays. I said no, because this blog is about me. But then she said that she would make me an extra yummy dinner so I agreed. Here is a picture of my mum and dad in San Francisco.

In case you are wondering, I had a lovely time while mum and dad were away. I spent lots of time with my Grammy and Aunty Tanya. And then I think I wore them out because my Grandma and Grandad came and took over. They all looked after me very well. I was happy when my mum and dad came back though. I didn't realise how much I missed them until they got back. Now I don't let mum go anywhere without me just in case she goes away for another 9 days. I also am not sleeping very well because I am worried that she'll try and make a break for it during the night.

That's all for now,
Roman

Update

Hi All,

Mum found the milk bottle. It hadn't gone too chunky so I'll have to find a better hiding spot next time.

Mum and dad took me to the zoo on Saturday. I got to walk for a long time which was good fun. We saw lots of different animals. I like the monkeys a lot. They are funny. One monkey was sitting really close to the glass near me. We were looking at each other and then he made a fountain come out his bum. I said "water."

I went "raaaaa" at the lion. He did it back at me but his was a little bit louder.

When we got the peacocks I was a bit tired so I sat down and had a rest.

On Sunday we went to the airport and picked up my Grammy. She has come all the way from Adelaide to say hello to me. I think she forgot Papa though. I keep asking for him but he hasn't shown up yet.

Mum says that her and daddy are going on a holiday tomorrow to San Francisco. Grammy is going to look after me for a couple of days, then Aunty Tanya is going to come and help. Then my other Grandma and Grandad are going to come and look after me too. They are very lucky.

I think my mum worries that her house won't be tidy enough so she has been very busy cleaning things. Grammy, Aunty Tanya, Grandma and Grandad - you can look behind the washing machine, inside the microwave, under the green couch, and in the dishwasher - no dirt there. It's probably best you don't look under the brown couch, under the bed or under the fridge.

Mum said that when she goes away she's going to turn the computer off. This means I won't be able to talk to you. I think this is mean but she is a lot bigger than me so she'll probably get her way. So I'll talk to you in a week or two.

Until then,
Roman
