My camera

Hi All,

I like having my photo taken and I like looking at photos so Mum decided that it would be a good idea to give me mum and dad's old digital camera. I LOVE it! I walk around taking photos of lots of things. I say "Smile" to people and then if the photo is good I say "Well done!"

Here are some photos I have taken all by myself:

There are photos of my Aunty Leanne, my mum's shoes, the bathroom cabinet, my friend Phoebe, my daddy, my mummy and other things. I'm a very good photographer.

C'mon!!!

Hi All,

Last week we were going for a drive in our car. This is what it looks like when we go for a drive:

This is what my daddy uses to steer the car:

And this is what my dad looks like when he's driving:

And this is me:

Anyway...

My dad was driving and someone cut us off. My dad honked his horn and said "C'mon!!!" Well, for the next 5 minutes I sat in my seat yelling, "C'mon!" and whenever we go for a drive and I hear a horn I yell "C'mon!!" even though this happened a week ago.

I think mum and dad are a bit embarrassed but also very glad that my daddy didn't say anything worse than c'mon...

Guitar

Hi All,

My dad plays guitar and I like to play too. We have a pizza peel in our kitchen cupboard that I like to get out and use as a guitar. This is a video of me rockin' out (press the play button). Sorry it's a bit dark - it gets better halfway through.

So much to tell

Hi All,

Sorry for not blogging for a couple of days. I've been so busy doing exciting things that I've forgotten to tell you about them. Here's a few of the things I've done:

I went on a steam train with my mum and dad. We sat with my friend Jake and his mum and dad. It was so much fun. We got to wave to all the people and bridges and buses and trains and dogs that we saw out the window.

I've been swimming twice with my mum lately. We hadn't been swimming in months and months and finally the guilt got to mum and she took me. I love it very much. I cried when mum said we had to get out. I cried all the way to the change room and while mum was getting me changed I pleaded, "swim, one more, mum please?" nope, nothing. Once mum has made her mind up, it's very hard to change it.

My aunty Leanne bought me a pair of shoes. I love them. Whenever I see them I say, "Thank you, Leanne." Even when she's not around.

My mum made something yummy the other day. I think it might have been icecream. While she wasn't watching (or judging from the photographic evidence below, maybe she was watching) I got the spoon and bowl from the bench and licked it clean. yummy!!

Vent

Hi All,

Yesterday I got into trouble.

Big trouble.

Yesterday morning while mum was busy I took the heating vent out of the floor and put every piece of my puzzle and 3 little people into the vent (Little people are little toy people - I didn't actually put some small children down the vent - imagine how much trouble I would have been in if I'd done that!)

This photo shows some of the stuff mum had to get out of the vent with long tongs.

I also got into trouble yesterday afternoon when I tried to do it again. Mum caught me after I'd put in about 5 puzzle pieces that time.

This is a photo of how I get out of trouble:

I give mum a big, cheesy smile. I find that helps.

Park

Hi All,

I've been on holidays visiting my Grandma and Grandad. I also got to see Toby (the dog) and Angelo and Sophie (the cats). I pulled Sophie's ears which was not very nice.

I sleep in a little room next to Grandma and Grandad's bedroom. When I wake up in the morning I get to have cuddles with my Grandma and Grandad and we sometimes watch TV. Then I say to Grandma, "Roman - milk? Grandad - coffee?". I know Grandad appreciates me putting in his order as well.

Yesterday I got to play at the park. It was lots of fun and then daddy found us and played as well. Daddy likes the swings very much.

Also I pooped in the bath last night but nobody wants to hear about that (or how daddy had to clean it up).

One of my favourite things

Hi All,

I would like to tell you about one of my favourite things. Baby Cino's!! I love them.

Sometimes when I got out with mum and dad I get a baby cino. I never know when I'm going to get one (but I usually ask every time we're out!). But every now and then mum says, "Would you like a baby cino?". And I say "YES".

Baby cino's are different everywhere. Sometimes they are in a little coffee cup, sometimes a paper cup. Sometimes you get marshmallows on the side (yum!), sometimes chocolate sprinkles in the cup. But they are always yummy.

Here's some photos of me and baby cino's.

(Oh yeah, I always get lots of chocolate on my face!).

Monkey underwear

Hi All,

It might not be appropriate to show you my underwear but I'm going to do it anyway!

These are my new underwear. They've been tucked in my cupboard for quite some time and mum got them out last night for me. Good thing, because they are almost too small!! They've got a monkey on the front.

I like them. Do you?

Drawing

Hi All,

I love drawing but today I got to do some extra special drawing. Mum took me outside and we drew on the driveway. We had big bits of chalk in lots of colours. It was good fun. Dad did the best drawings of all. He's very clever (much better than mummy).

I thought I was only allowed to draw on paper so now that I know I can draw on other things I might get the crayons and draw on the walls.

Holidays

Hi All,

Have you been asking yourself, "I wonder where Roman is and why he hasn't blogged lately?" If so, it's because I've been on holidays with my mum and dad. We went to Warrnambool. We like it there. It's got the beach and parks and food. It also has rain and wind and coldness. We didn't get to spend as much time at the beach as we would have liked because of the rain.

We did go to the beach a couple of times. The first time it was very cold and I was wearing lots of warm clothes. I ran to the water and I got too close to the water and a wave came and knocked me over. I was very upset... and cold... and wet... My mum thought it was very funny, she laughed and laughed. Dad told her off for laughing so much - he thought it was quite serious. Mum stripped off all my clothes and Dad gave me his jumper to wear. We left the beach so I could go home and get dry clothes.

Here are some photos from our holidays.

We had lots of fun and I sang Happy Birthday to you on the drive home. I can't remember why.

Upset

Hi All,

Sometimes I get upset. When I get upset I cry and make funny faces. Sometimes I have snot come out of my nose. I usually want a cuddle, then I don't want a cuddle. It's all very messy and confusing.

This is me after I got upset about something (I can't remember what):

Oven

Hi Everyone,

My dad called my mum a bag lady. That's because she collects things that other people don't want anymore so she can make them wanted again. Do you remember my little white chair. She found that on the side of the road. She found a little cabinet the other day that she's painting at the moment. And when we were driving home from shopping last week she spotted this little oven / stove that someone had left out for hard waste collection:

It was full of straw and had bird poop on it. Yuck.

So today mum and I put it in the backyard and scrubbed and scrubbed until it was beautifully clean:

I really liked cleaning it, especially with the tooth brush. Mum says I kept cleaning for about 30 minutes longer than necessary but I was having fun!

That's all for now,
Roman

Stories

Hi All,

Do you know how sometimes people tell stories, and when they are finished you wished they had never told you the story? I'm going to tell you one of those stories.

The other day I was eating baked beans and ham. Not a great combination but mum mustn't have had much in the fridge. So I was eating my baked beans with my spoon when I wondered how far I could stick my spoon down my throat. It turns out I can stick it far enough down to make me puke baked beans and ham everywhere... My first puke and it was self inflicted.

Don't you wish I'd never told you that story? Just be glad there is no accompanying photo.

It's my Birthday!!

Hi All,

Today is my birthday. Today I turn 2 years old (or 3 depending on when you ask me).

Today mum and dad wanted to take me to the zoo or the science museum or something fun. But I just wanted to stay home and play with my presents. So that's what we did.

Mum and dad gave me a train set!!

It's lots of fun with lots of tracks and trains. Very fun.

I'll tell you about some of the other things I've got for my birthday:

a trike (my feet ALMOST touch the pedals!)
some musical instruments (I like playing with these a lot)
some playdough (who doesn't like playdough?!)
some pyjamas and a book (the book is very funny - i'll tell you about it some time)
some tracksuit pants and top (dad says that tracksuit pants are the best thing ever)
and something very cool that I haven't actually got yet - my Aunty and Uncle are going to build me a garden (I love outside - have I told you that before?)
and other stuff too!!

I'm very spoilt.

This is me and my dad:

What a day!!

Hi All,

What a day I've had today!!

Today I woke up and found a duck in our backyard!! I think the magpies must have told the duck that he could get some good bread in our backyard. But we'd run out so I think the duck went away hungry.

Then I had my family come and visit for my birthday. Except it's not my birthday, yet. My birthday is on Tuesday so I don't know if that means everyone is coming back on Tuesday once they realised the mistake they've made or whether that's it. We'll see.

Here are some photos from my party (I'll put some more photos up tomorrow and I'll tell you about my presents too!):

Proud Dad

Hi All,

I have made my dad very proud of me.

I can fart. Don't get me wrong - I've been able to fart for quite some time but now I know about it and I proclaim it - "Roman fart!". I know that some people are stealth farters - they do it quietly and hope no one notices (until the smell hits them) - NOT ME!! I'm a proud farter like my dad. I want people to know about it. I also want them to join in. Once I've farted and announced it I also ask other people to do one too - " Mummy fart?", "Daddy fart?". A farting family is a happy family.

This is me and my dad:

Something new

Hi All,

I thought today I would try and tell you some things about me that you may not know.

  • I like having my photo taken. At least 5 times a day I ask my mummy, "photo? Roman?". Mum takes photos of me on her phone - like this one:
  • I like getting in to bed with mum and dad in the morning and then hiding under the sheets. I like mum and dad to hide too. I say "Mum, hide. Dad, hide. Roman, hide. Dark." One time mum told me it was scary, and then changed her mind and said that it's fun. I only remember the scary bit so I say "scary".
  • Mum bought me an ice pack that is shaped like a teddy bear. When I hurt myself I cry for a moment and then say "teddy bear hold." It makes me feel better.
  • I know the way to the park. I like going there.

That's all for now,
Roman

Feeding the birds

Hi All,

Please don't tell my mum and dad but the real reason I like throwing bread to the birds in our back yard is so that I have a snack for the next day when I'm outside and I'm hungry. SHHHH.

Baby cino

Hi All,

This morning my mum, dad and I went out for breakfast. Mum got a hot chocolate, dad got a coffee and I got a baby cino. A baby cino is frothy milk with chocolate powder sprinkled on top. I LOVE baby cinos. A LOT. I even got 2 marshmallows with my baby cino. I drank it up so fast. And then it was gone. I saw the nice waitress who brought it to me across the other side of the restaurant so I held up my cup to her and yelled, "Lady, more coffee!"

In case you can't tell, that's me in the photo above. Dad says that I look like a 14 year old girl in the photo so I wasn't sure if you'd be able to see that it was me.
